After lunch Emma and Robbie came and met up with us and we all went together to Kaloleni Primary School where we donated 3 computers and a printer. It took about 20 minutes to get there. When we arrived there we were greeted by the head teacher. She took us to the library where the computers will be kept. This is the first Government Primary School I have visited that has a library, I was really impressed.
Ally installed the computers while Robert and I went through the loan agreement with the teachers.
Whilst we were doing this another teacher showed the others around the school.
After their tour the others came and joined Robert and I in the library. Ally had finished setting up the computers and some children came to join us.
We had also brought some footballs for the children.
After we had finished at the school Caf and Si wanted to go souvenir shopping so Robert dropped us at the I Curio shop in town. They bought a few gifts and then we walked back to TemboTamu. It was very hot by now.
This evening we had been invited to Robert’s house for dinner. Robert picked us up about 6.30pm. When we arrived were greeted by Mama Diana, Robert’s wife, Vai, his niece and Dimitra, his youngest daughter. They also now have a small kitten.
A little later a friend of Mama Diana’s called in with her 2 small children.
As always Mama Diana and Vai provided us with a fantastic meal.
After dinner we gave Mama Diana and Dimitra some small gifts we had brought.
As always it was a lovely evening with fantastic food and great company.
